a few years ago, my dad used to work for sephora. no, he wasn’t a patrick star, slaying the girls’ faces but he killed sh*t on the corporate side and when i say he was the plug, mannnn he used to bring home all the tester products. (for some reason and yes, i totally regret it now) i wasn’t as knee deep as i am currently into beauty and make up products. but through him, i was lucky enough to test a bunch of their products and alot of them are what i credit for making me see the worth in investing in QUALITY products.
anyway, these are a few of my current beauty and skin faves!
-apply a face mask (2x/week)
my favorite is st. ive’s blemish control apricot scrub but I switch it up often.
-wash entire face with first aid beauty’s pure skin face cleanser
i like this a lot as a morning cleanser because it is so gentle.
- use first aid beauty’s facial radiance pads all over face and neck.
adds that extra GLOW.
-moisturize with jeffrey james botanicals the creme
my aunt in Boston put me onto this and it’s been one of my favorite moisturizers since.
-take off make up using cotton pad and christian dior instant cleansing water
this make up remover it’s so gentle it actually feels like water. not only does it serve as a make up remover but it’s also toner, so a total win right? after wiping once, I feel like almost all my make up has been removed and my skin feels super smooth.
-wash face with ambi black soap
I prefer the Ambi black soap in comparison to other African black soap brands because this one doesn’t dry my skin out.
-apply murad acne spot fast fix to any small trouble areas or zits you see coming in
My secret weapon and favorite! I can apply this on any zit and by evening or that bad boy is nowhere to be found, this here product is a life saver.
-apply a few drops of tarte’s maracuja oil directly onto face and rub into skin
i’ve been using this oil for almost six months now and I can say I swear by it! the fatty acids in the oil really moisturize my skin while the vitamin c evens out my complexion. it keeps my skin so hydrated while I sleep and the fact that it is unscented makes it a keeper.
1. water is your best friend.
2. always wash your face 2x/day.
3. NEVER NEVER NEVER sleep with make up on
so not worth the breakout.
(especially in the winter)
